Four Main Areas of Focus

The Downtown Troy BID has four main areas of focus including marketing, business development and retention, public services and beautification, and special events. Each area of focus has a special committee open to the public which meets monthly.

Get Involved!

Interested in getting involved? You can join a committee to meet new people and discuss different activities of the Downtown Troy BID. If you’re looking for a larger commitment, you can also petition to join the board!

Learn . Connect. Grow

We gather every month, discussing topics that can inspire and innovate, connecting local businesses to valuable resources and bringing local business, residents and Troy enthusiasts together for socialization and networking with their neighbors.

Certificate Of Occupancy

All businesses are required to receive a certificate of occupancy before opening their doors to customers. If you have not done so already, please contact the City of Troy Planning & Zoning Department.

Outdoor Dining

Are you looking to have outdoor seating at your establishment? You must first contact the City of Troy to fill out the outdoor dining permit.

Not Sure Whom To Contact?

Did you notice a street light that was out? A pot hole that needs fixing? Would you like to report a non emergency crime? Report something to code?

Business Signage

Looking to place a sign on your window or outside of your storefront? Because your business is located in a historic district, you will have to confirm your signage request with the City of Troy.

Special Event Permit

Looking to host a block party, alley event, host a vendor on the sidewalk in front of your storefront, or something else in public property?

Wondering where you can park downtown or tell your customers to park? There are different options including parking lots and garages or street parking.
