Event Sponsorship Opportunties
Here at the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District (BID), we are doing things a bit differently this year. In the past, you may have received a letter from us, letting you know about individual event sponsorship opportunities. This year, to engage our sponsors more actively and to provide year round visibility in the City of Troy, we are packaging our events together, giving sponsors real market saturation and category exclusivity. Our events like Rockin on the River, The Troy Pig Out and River Street Festival draw over 100,000 people to Troy, and reach millions in advertising impressions. By including the monthly Troy Night Out, and packaging in sponsorship of our monthly e-newsletter, we are able to offer sponsorship visibility every month of the year, and in many different formats.
2013 event sponsors with the Downtown Troy BID (a 501 C3 not-for-profit public charity) also receive the benefit of being associated with a good news driver in our community, and supporting not only our events, but the myriad of programs and services we offer as a community development agency. From shop local campaigns, to beautification projects, to art accessibility programs, the BID is dedicated to serving the community of Downtown Troy, and making it a better place, to live, work, learn and play.
And we have something to offer you in return. This summer, Downtown Troy will be alive with visitors and residents attending events that celebrate everything from art to architecture to live music to BBQ and are vital to the sustainability and growth of the City. These events also provide a unique marketing opportunity to sponsors, who can make a difference in our community while reaching out to thousands and thousands of prospective consumers, both on-site at our events, and in over $100,000 worth of event advertising.
We’re offering exclusive sponsorships at different levels that offer a broad range of benefits to provide sponsors with a unique branding opportunity and long-term visibility across the Capital Region. Our 2013 sponsorship packages include the following events:
- Troy Night Out: The last Friday of every month, January to November
On the last Friday of every month, the streets of Downtown Troy come alive with art openings, live musical performances both inside and out, retail shop open houses and specials at restaurants and night spots, from 5pm to 9pm. Troy Night Out, or TNO for short, draws people out to stroll the streets and to visit over 60 venues throughout Downtown each month. Expected Attendance: 27,500
- 10th Annual River Street Arts Festival: Saturday, June 15, 2013
Join the City of Troy and the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District for the River Street Arts Festival- an arts, antiques and music festival that fills the streets of Downtown Troy. The festival is a family oriented event that also offers food and entertainment. Expected attendance: 25,000
- 6th Annual Rockin’ on the River Concert Series: Wednesdays June 19-August 21, 2013
This 10 week long outdoor summer concert series takes place from 5pm-8:30pm and features live music by national recording artists with supporting local acts that draw crowds of approximately 3,500 music lovers each week. Expected attendance: 35,000
- 6th Annual Troy Pig Out: Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14, 2013
The State Championship Troy Pig Out brings Barbecue experts from around the country (and from right here in Troy) to fill Riverfront Park with grills and smokers. The festival is a family friendly event featuring live music, chef demonstrations, fireworks, and of course, lots and lots of BBQ! Expected attendance: 30,000
- 7th Annual ChowderFest: Sunday, October 13, 2013
Now in its seventh year, the Troy Chowderfest invites the entire Capital District to come out and judge who has the best chowder in the area. Over 30 restaurants fill Riverfront Park, with decorated booths and all sorts of creative chowders. Expected attendance: 10,000
We are offering four levels of sponsorship for this series of events, Presenting Sponsor, Major Sponsor, Featured Sponsor and Event Sponsor. The benefits to each are outlined below:
