The Downtown Troy BID Career Development Series is designed to bring local businesses together to learn, grow and collaborate through facilitators with a vested interest in the areas economic growth. Career development is a significant part of human development that spans over the individual's entire lifetime and forms a person's work identity. We gather every other month, discussing topics that can inspire and innovate, and help local businesses to discover valuable resources to advance their professional career. MEET AND GREET: NETWORKING
In an effort to create an inviting, dynamic, and sustainable community, the Downtown Troy BID hosts meet and greets every other month that bring local business, residents and Troy enthusiasts together for socialization and networking with their neighbors. Connecting with other professionals in your community is an effective, FUN way to build your contact list, providing opportunities to forge new relationships and further collaborations for the benefit of the community. Harassment Prevention In The Workplace

Did you know that every employer in New York State is required to provide employees with sexual harassment prevention training? This course will help local small businesses meet the requirements of these new laws as it is designed to introduce participants to both types of harassment claims, what forms of reporting and remedy are available, and how to handle the intake of harassment complaints.
